Enjoy this short excerpt (Actively Listen to Your Clients) from my new book, The ABCs of Millionaire Marketing…
Don’t play the guessing game with your customers.
Too often, business owners provide a product or service based on what they “think” their customers want to buy. Your customers want direct and assured guidance to help them solve their problems.
Why not ask your customers what they need specifically, and intently listen to them to determine what they really want?
This is much more effective than playing a continuous guessing game about the wants and needs of your customers. When you actively listen to them, you will hear exactly what they want or need.
Actively listening means you are honed into every word your customer is saying to you. As you listen to them, take mental notes. When you get into the habit of actively listening, you will feel more comfortable making personal recommendations because you will be confident that you heard your customer’s wants correctly.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you don’t have a clear and concise idea of what your customer needs. Ask and continue to listen. Then, apply what they tell you. Give your customers what they want!
